Given the choice of 8A or 10A I'd take 10A all day long. The big benefit is that if you do end up on a Zodiac plane then 10A is not connected, so no rocking issue.

As far as being more private I guess maybe somewhat, you're at the rear of the J cabin so should have minimal foot traffic and furthest from the lavs and galley. Being right in front of PE is a non-issue, IMO.
