Thanks, will bear that in mind. Forgot I had used one short haul upgrade and 1x APD upgrade, and both are already credited back. Just need to follow up on this 'original routing credit' now.
Wasn't a bad flight all told with Qantas. Obviously nowhere near as nice as Air NZ PE (and from what I could see Air NZ PE is miles ahead of the Qantas trans tasman business class) but still good enough for a 3.5hr flight.
Would definitely fly it again if the pricing was sharp - considering the original topic of this thread.
We didn't get meals in the main service as there were numerous passengers in our boat who had been on Air NZ and then been rebooked and they didn't have enough catering, but once main meal service was done they did offer any spare meals and found us snacks so felt well looked after.
