Does anyone know if a paid upgrade (specifically paying for an upgrade to business class on a JFK-SFO transcon) changes the fare class / how it shows up to AS for the purposes of elite status? I have booked 3 JFK to SFO flights this year on American, all in economy to start (first was fare class Q, second L, last M) and then upgraded to flagship business or first with a paid upgrade after booking. For the first two (Q, upgraded to Flagship business and L, upgraded to Flagship first), I got the 2,586 miles and then 2,586 bonus miles for both elite miles and redeemable miles. For the last one (fare class M, upgraded to flagship business), I only got the first 2,586 miles, no bonus miles, so it seems a bit inconsistent, and I'm wondering if that's due to how AA accounts for the upgrade
