COVID extensions excepted, it's been years since anyone has re-qualified for $2K or $3K, unless you mean by also spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on UA credit cards, which is just as possible in 2025 as it is in 2024. I also question the logic: if you're spending "hard-earned money" to requalify for status, why would you be glad that UA is going to charge you more for the same benefits you got last year?

So anyone who disagrees with you is whining?

I could potentially trip over the threshold again next year, given that I've given both AA and DL a look in the past two years and neither one of them seems particularly more useful for my needs. But continuing to raise prices whilst simultaneously reducing the service provided -- advanced PZ space is increasingly difficult to find -- seems like an odd business model to me. If that's whining, so be it.
