As BA use BT Genesys if you receive a call from Manchester or Newcastle it will show as a Birmingham phone number.
For outbound calls we do still have to clear data protection with the caller before we disclose information.
This could have potentially been a genuine call.
But you can see why this rings alarm bells? There is absolutely no way I am answering questions of a personal nature when you made the call! You can answer a couple first and we can take it from there.
