I believe you will NOT get access as it is seen as US domestic, unless you have Emerald status from a non-US program. If you do have a connecting international flight, this might work.
It is open from 07am until late at night, so opening times is not an issue, question is if you have access to it. However for sure you will get access to AA's own Flagship Lounge, which is not too bad at LAX.
