The agent is wrong, there is no exception for award tickets. I know they put it in writing, but it's up to you to decide if you want to take the risk. Personally, I wouldn't.

PS : just curious in case you are not FB Ultimate, how did you manage to communicate in writing with FB, as AFAIK, only Ultimate can communicate by email with AF/KL/FB.
