I've just had my STPC rejected and I am wondering if it's somehow to do with this.
I am booked onto QR 615 ISB>DOH, departing 8:55am, arriving 11:00am. I then depart to KUL on QR844 at 8:15PM. The only other DOH>KUL flight is at 2:30am, many hours prior to my arrival in DOH.
This is a N class ricket, with ticket price around 411USD.
There is a ISB>DOH flight at 3:10am which is 'early the same day' in a technical sense but for me is very much a 'Thursday night' rather than a 'Friday morning'. Regardless, that would arrive into DOH at 5:15am which would allow for a connection onto MH165 for which Qatar has a partnership agreement but I don't believe should be included in the calculations....not least because it requires a 3am flight which I don't really believe is in the spirit of the program!
Edit: not sure if its part of the reason for rejecting the STPC but the reason why there is no availability on Discover Qatar is I'm transiting on Friday 29th November which is the first day or practice for the F1 Grand Prix weekend.
