If they were Prem they'd have had an airport escort (most likely) and it's entirely possible they were being escorted from the lounge (or wherever) and held back by their escort until boarding was actually ready. Then walked to the front.
This is the most logical explanation and it's surprised me it's this far down in the thread to be posted.
Boarding didn't start
because 1A and 1C arrived, boarding started
and then 1A and 1C arrived.
They were just provided an escort to board first, as suggested likely Premier customers.
Molehill and mountains spring to mind.
Also it really isn't anyone's business who other customers are. Nobody has the right to know, so why feel that right has been bestowed upon you?
