Can anyone comment on if its better to prepay the hotel online in USD or pay at the hotel in ARS with US credit-card? I am showing $615 per night for prepaid and $655 to pay at the property.

Still getting hang of the blue dollar / MEP conversion thing. Do I need to look up for the ARS official buying price to get the amount for USD -> ARS conversion the hotel will do? And then input that amount into visa exchange website with 0% transaction fee (assuming most premium cards don't charge a fee)?

Also, besides hotels, is there any other place you'd want to pay with credit card? i.e., the 21% VAT issue.
