Do you know if you have to be flying on United to enter the club via this method? I'm flying on American Airlines, but I have a United Club cred card and I'm wondering if I bring this card with me if it would get me into this club (along with my spouse and 3 kids!).

Not sure if this applies to Copa, but ime with Priority Pass and Amex lounges, you will need to show a boarding pass corresponding to your method of entry--ie, I can't get into the Delta lounge with the Amex Plat card with an AA ticket, but can get into Amex Centurion lounge with any carrier boarding pass. Priority Pass can be even more fickle.
Now that I think about it, if you read the terms and conditions of the United Club card, I'm sure it will spell out any access restrictions.
