Best Card for United Miles?

I make extensive use of United Miles for intercontinental business class award flights. I enjoy the Chase Sapphire Reserve card's 3 points per dollar spent on restaurants and travel as well as entry to Priority lounges. However, on two occasions when I have made a claim under their insurance (once for damage to a rental car and once for expenses of cancelled travel), I feel I have been given the run around. Is this still the best card for racking up United Miles given that we travel a lot.

Specifically, my wife and I had to cancel a Silversea Alaska cruise due to her daughter's life-threatening hospitalization. We were out $14,000. We had $10,000 in Alliance travel insurance and they paid us within 2 weeks. It is now 90 days since we submitted a claim for the remaining $4,000 to Chase and we get getting requests for the same information over and over again. Several years earlier I rented a car with the Chase card and picked it up at BWI at 2am. Later that morning coming out of my hotel I noticed the car was dented. Given the way I parked it I didn't think it got dented in the hotel parking lot. I called the car rental company and they said they would investigate. They took more than 90 days and then said they were sure it was not dented when I rented it. I then tried to pass the claim on to Chase who advised that since I hadn't made the claim within 90 days, the claim was not covered. OK, I should have known better on the car claim, but on the travel claim for the lost cruise, my wife and I were on it right away and we have just been given a total run around.
