Looks like BA2037 left 1h13m late, so it's unlikely to trigger the "right to care" since, in the case of a long haul flight, this only applies when there is an anticipated delay of at least 4 hours.
However if the delay had been sufficiently long, the "right to care" would apply regardless of the reason for the delay. "Beyond the airline's control" is only relevant to compensation, and in any event the case law suggests that bird strike delays are not necessarily exempt from compensation.
