Flew BA LHR-DEN on a 777-200 with Club Suites this weekend.
Haven't flown BA in ages; flew United on the way over (with truly awful catering). I know BA gets a lot of criticism but I felt the food was above average (or at least good enough).
Service was decent, nothing special and while the cabin crew were friendly enough, it didn't seem like they really went out of their way to do anything. To me, makes sense as the flight was completely full and 48 J seats seems like a lot of folks to take care of.
Lunch took 2.5 hours to complete, and the snack was served 90 minutes before landing. I will say, the pre-arrival snack was quite tiny and I was hoping to get BA's famous afternoon tea service, but I'm not sure which flights this is on, being a very infrequent BA flyer.
BA seems to be doing a centenary celebration of BA <> India, and while at first I thought serving 48 passengers curries on a long-haul flight seemed like a bad idea, the curry was absolutely delicious.
Salmon rillette was excellent if a bit salty. Side nicoise salad was fresh and delicious, if not comically tiny.
Railway lamb curry was delightful. Served *piping* hot - nearly burnt myself, just the way I like it (UA served some seriously terrible lukewarm short rib).
Ordered the sticky toffee pudding (good enough; hadn't been warmed all the way through though), and snagged an extra panna cotta from the cabin crew.
Like I mentioned, pre-arrival snack was small but decent-tasting. The chocolate muffin was surprisingly excellent (warm and gooey).
Overall I was very happy with the flight and look forward to flying BA again.
