Just ran into this - my employers travel agent booked a Qatar flight and in manage booking there’s no option to add a FF number.

I have OWE status so exit row seat selection should be free and is close to 200USD over two legs.

Chat tells me to call Malaysia Airline (who I hold status with) but that doesn’t sound right.

Has anyone had any luck getting seats assigned for free or even looked at seat fees claimed back once status has been input?

edit: I called Malaysian Airlines who told me they can’t add ANYTHING and barely see anything for a fully Qatar ticket

edit 2: I opened a new chat, explained I had OWE status with another airline and needed my number added for free exit row seat selection, agent replies:
Agent: sure, I will add in the booking.
Agent: May I have it please.
Me : E ticket: X, FF number: X
Agent: I have added the membership number
Agent: Please check your booking.

Let the system refresh an and hour later I can select exit row for free.

If at first you don’t succeed, ask ask again!
