@flatbed: I also believe that is just "normal" SOP for front line QR staff, abiding to their given policy. Some things never change. I still don't believe there is malice behind it.
Quite surprised that you could not enter your FFP when booking on website.
You must have been logged in as a QR member, which automatically use that number.
One needs to be very careful, but I just booked tickets without any problem in entering my BAEC number.
