I think all the HA flights which show up on the AS site at least have an AS codeshare flight number.
The discount only applies to AS flights. You can still have AS codeshares on HA in the itinerary, but they aren't discounted. I helped a friend book an amazing itinerary with U space available on all flights at booking, so I was able to see what was possible with the discount code.
