I believe this is correct. But the new ticket should be as far into the future as possible because the new expiry date is one month after the departing flight. So that's why a previous poster said his credit expires only a month from now because his flight is now. So if you just want to extend your eCredit, make sure to book a flight that's 11 months in the future (schedule open) so you get a 12 month expiry.
Cant you then go in and "change" the flight again???
