I never said that LAX terminals are all crap. I've been to every terminal at LAX expect the Regional Terminal (Eagle's Nest). I must say that LAWA has done an impressive job modernizing most of the airport terminals within the last decade. I don't think any other airport in the US comes close to doing what LAX is doing right now. Unfortunately that can't be said for T4 and T5. T5 airside hasn't been touched since the 1980s. T4, which received a modernization in 2002, has aged poorly. To get from T7/8 to TBIT one must transverse part of T4, which is quite narrow and involves going through the area where security spits out of, which is very congested. I understand T4 is currently undergoing modernization, which hopefully helps things.
