Can I piggyback in on this. I rarely check bags. We checked four at Alicante to Nantes via Madrid for two passengers. All of them have gone missing. They have been located in Madrid and hopefully will be sent to Nantes tomorrow. We live 110+ km from Nantes. Assuming that they are sent to Nantes tomorrow (Monday), can we claim any out of pocket having to go and collect them. The reason that we elected to do this is that on Tuesday we have to come to the Uk where my husband is to have minor surgery which we cannot miss. We must leave on Tuesday.

If there is a thread explaining all this - please direct me as I really have no idea of what rights we have in this situation
