Of all the doom and gloom scenarios, if AA just allows paying buy-up fees for miles at 1c/mile, quite honestly I'm shocked how that hasn't been enabled yet. If people want to spend their miles on that, be my guest. More award seats for me.
Wait until they peg all AA and partner award redemptions at 1c per mile.......Pretty sure they'll end giving you option to do cash only, miles + cash, or miles only, all at 1cent/mile.....
