Is it still the case that reward flights on Qatar metal are the same price (Avios + taxes) regardless whether they're booked on BA or Qatar directly? I'm asking as I can simulate the price on BA but I can't see the final price on Qatar as I don't have an Avios in my account there and then it will only show the Avios needed but I can't continue any further with the booking process so I can't see how many taxes they add. Was for me when I booked WAW-DOH-AUH. Price same to the cent. I booked this on QR account and couldn't get my BA number in there but didn't matter as we were in J/F.
Am flying SHJ-DOH-BRU in a few day's time and that was booked on BA. The BA number is in it but again little different as flying F and J.
Only difference I did note is that QR one is cancelable up to 3 hours before, not the 24 on BA. But I do read people take weeks to get cash or avíos back on QR and have to do a lot of chasing
