Standard domestic F isn't worth paying for (money or miles). MCE is fine.

Cheap buy-ups on long-hauls remain a net positive in my book (like the $175 I just paid to go from Y to W on a upcoming LAX-SYD). And there's time where I'll be perfectly happy to burn a few miles (yes, "low-value", against some arbitrary metric) on it. Miles just pile up in the account anyway.
