Did you get some sort of upgrade at least? When I stayed a Bellagio recently, the check-in agent was apologetic that I'd have to get the room type I book but waived the parking fee as a courtesy (which isn't much, but was appreciated).
I got an upgrade to a Stay Well room. The only difference of the room over what I booked seems to be that it has an air purification system.
