Have you considered AA to connect from PDX to one of the other US departure points for BA? Or maybe Alaskan to BA (sorry don’t know either airline’s route maps).

Question is whether price is your primary driver? Or is it crediting to one of your FF programmes? And if tier points are important and you don’t mind connecting once (or twice) you could build a nice little mileage run.
