Credit card surcharge and energy recovery fee
Have a US Holiday Inn Express in Elko, NV. For rewards point stay, using points 100% for the room rate, they are saying there is a 12.95 energy recovery fee plus 3% credit card surcharge.

Is this allowed by IHG?

I've redeemed hundreds of rewards nights all over with these programs and I have never had to pay a fee like this.
