I agree, abit let down by Le Cinq's food, and probably won't go back. Loved the Sommelier, as he was super nice and funny; and I think he is the additional star for Le Cinq..and makes the place great...... He gave a rose to my wife....which my wife loved....The champagne cart was a nice touch to try different glasses based on the sommelier's recommendation.
The chef came out and greeted each table individually.
Here is a quick google search for dress code at Le Cinq.....
Le Cinq, a 3-Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris, France, has an elegant dress code that requires a jacket for men:
- Men: A jacket is required for men, and the restaurant will provide one if you don't have one.
- Women: Most women wear a dress.
- General attire: Shorts, sportswear, and T-shirts are not permitted
Where did that come from? It is contradictory in itself. If a jacket was required, the reference to shorts would be superfluous. Unless you're targeting total cavemen. I can't find that on the homepage anyway. To the best of my recollection, there were also men without jackets, but to be honest I don't care. If I want to see nice jackets or suits, I look in my wardrobe or down at myself
