The big question: Does anyone recall when we each got our first credits? Did we get a $300 credit as soon as we became cardholders and ANOTHER $300 credit the next December/January? If so, then this change seems fair because we didn't really deserve that second credit so soon. But if I started on Sept 27 and didn't get my second credit till ~15 months later, then this change is screwing me out of a credit that I deserve.
I've had my card for too long to easily research this, but maybe someone else knows.
IIRC, Yes, I received a $300 credit in 20XX, burned through it, and then received another in December 20XX.
The upcoming shift seems fine: cardholders get made whole for the current CY and then get another annual credit <12 months later. I can't see how anyone who's taking a long view loses.
