Unbelievable, Citi is essentially saying “we don’t want the business of a high net worth, potentially highly profitable, outstanding credit history customer” (who’s generating lots of profits for our competitors).

Their loss.
Perhaps your problem is that as you note, you are a potentially profitable customer for Citi but probably a very well known cost in the terms of SUB’s they will be shelling out for your nonexistent current business.

Do you want their card? Take out a loan, get a CD in 6 digit range, become a customer, not a parasite (in their minds, not mine )

Sadly, they appear to know your modus operandi and don’t want anything to do with you.
