Booking a GIG-MIA-JFK flight. Will I need to collect and re-check my luggage in MIA? Would 1.5hrs be enough?

Yes and yes. I've done the SFO-JFK-GIG-MIA-JFK-SFO as recently as February 2024 and am just about to repeat it in a week. There's no pre-check separate TSA area in MIA when connecting. You're at the mercy of the agents to give you the pre-check card when they take your photo after verifying your ID.
