Online changes are only permitted up to 24 hours before departure. You can change up to 2 hours before departure at the airport or by telephone. It might actually be cheaper to buy a new ticket to be honest, Ryanair will charge you €/£115 for online changes or €/£160 changes through an agent at the airport or over the phone. You may also be charged a fare difference. Before trying to change the name, it might be worth checking the cost of a brand new ticket to see which option is most cost effective.
