If there’s anything I’m impressed by in how the MGM/Marriott partnership turned out, is how just like many casinos theme their hotels into whatever theme they’re going with, MGM is simply theming their hotels into different Marriott brands (however well or superficial that may be). It's still unclear to me if there is any differentiation at all between MGM Collection hotels and MGM properties that are part of Luxury/Autograph/Tribute Portfolio as far as elite benefits are concerned. Are there certain amenities the hotels have that make it appropriate to slot them in one collection and not another?
