Even for what you listed as strictly necessary some control would be appreciated, e.g. for a gate change I am getting them both in the app (my preferred notification channel) and as a text and (in the past, I think I made it stop somehow) an email. For my connection tonight I got like 3 gate changes in a 15 minute span -- the gate change was much appreciated because it made my short-connection-run-across-ORD into a 6 gate stroll down the B concourse -- the 6 total notifications not so much.

It would be nice for each of those if there was something like my bank allows... "Notification" "Email" "Text" which can be selected in any combination...maybe make sure select at least one for the really important categories
