As for the wait times, they depend a lot on the banks of United flights. At 1:30 PM the wait time is 45 -60 minutes. By 3:30 it's 0.
Was just there a couple of Saturday ago about 2hrs prior to my flight which was around 1PM. Same as above told it would be an hour wait (empty tables also noted) and they would page me. wso I waited and had a drink at the bar which turned into two drinks. At one hour I was told about another 15 minutes. At this point it was now too late so grabbed something quick at the salad bar and went to the gate to board. This is not the first time this has happened to me at SFO fwiw. Should have just gone to Mustards as the meal on the flight was typically bad.
