Nibbles served before pushback


Not sure what happened to the amuse-bouche - think there might have been a miscommunication about it. I had plenty to eat overall though, and not sure it would have been to my taste, so not that fussed about missing out.

Went for the chicken terrine starter:

Very tasty - the accompaniments were somewhat tangy, which suited the dish well.

Chose the pork main:

Excellent dish. The potato side was a bit questionable, but the rest of the vegetables were ok.

As a sweet tooth I was always going to choose the vanilla ice cream for desert

I think I've had better ice cream (this one was a bit more ice-like than cream-like) but nevertheless a pretty decent finish to the meal.

Overall some good dishes, nothing hugely memorable, but very satisfactory nonetheless. Excellent and highly attentive service throughout.
