I think so, regrettably.
The overwhelming focus of this thread seems to be on the wretchedly conceived brunch service but the "goodnight" service is just as appalling. I had been assured by one of this forum's rightfully esteemed members that the Goodnight service would be offered alongside--and as an alternative to--the standard first class dinner service. This appears to not be the case. First passengers departing after 2130 hours will apparently be offered a comically sparce "supper" that's more akin to a hearty bedtime snack.
This is just unacceptable and I have accordingly dumped my upcoming BA flights in favor of Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class.
Please do report back on your flight from the west coast. I, for one, would be anxious to read of your experience.
