Too Many Email and Text Messages for Flights

I'm getting tired of all the email and text messages I get fro United for my flights. I have tried to "Opt-out" of these on the website, but there doesn't seem to be any way to actually stop them. I understand from time to time these messages can be useful if there are gate changes or flight delays, but 90% are just blah, blah, blah stuff we don't need to know (e.g., you flight is departing tomorrow, your flight is bioarding soon, your flight is boarding now etc). Also I get these stupid announcements about flights a wekk or days away telling me what I already know (e.g., We have Wifi...etc). I suspect this is an intended marketing campaign to keep UAL in your face as much as possible, yeah get that. Boring, and slightly annoying.

I've tried to set preferences in the profile online and combed through these emails looking for an unsubscribe or opt-out with no luck; you are just referred back to the website where the profile doesn't specifically address these.

For reference, I also get emails from Delta in advance of the flights, but not the nagware that UAL uses on the day of the flight.

Anyone else experiencing this and have suggestions as to how to reduce or eliminate such unwanted messaging?

Cheers,
