So chatted with an awesome Customer Care agent this morning about this. She seemed to be completely clued in on the pre-24h paid upgrades. Yes..any paid upgrade is suppose to earn RDM/EQM bonuses based on the fare it upgrades into. In what can be a shock to none, yes they are having IT issues with those bonuses calculating right. It's being worked on and is suppose to be retroactively fixed once corrected. No Eta though. She said if for some reason you need those miles now, they can go in and fix it manually. Her recommendation is to keep track of the paid upgrades so if it needs to be manually fixed, it's easier to pull up than them digging through every reservation. They don't have a magic flag that shows which ones were/weren't. As much as I hate rewarding bad behavior regarding the upgrades being screwed up, it makes paying for F Upgrades a little easier to swallow.
Yup, I just called in to fix (2) G to I trips, and it took her about 30 seconds to revise and add the miles.
Annoying? Sure. But painless to fix.
