BTW, on the leg back from Uruguay, you have to do a standard two step process, Argentine immigration is done at AEP.
Does anyone know if Argentine immigration control still is done at AEP when flying from MVD? It occurred to me that I'd better register my entry into Argentina with a foreign passport, or else I could get stuck paying VAT on hotels. But if I enter Uruguay as an argentino, the switch would be awkward if there are co-located controls. Maybe it would be best to stay Yankee all the way. Can you still get passport stamps at Carrasco?
