You could certainly book, then try to use SDC to get on an earlier flight (or even try standby) as a way to save money. Or, if it is far enough out, book and hope for a schedule change that allows you to change to a better connection. As others noted, this is a dicey connection and I wouldn't book it. I like 2 hours for any Dom-Int'l connection in the USA.
