Also, do all rooms that are labeled “beachfront” have verandas directly facing the beach, or are there some rooms where the verandas on the side of the building? The photos of the rooms on the IHG website are all generic and don’t differentiate.
We are trying to decide which rooms are best with value in consideration. Also considering some 2-3 bedroom beach front vacation rentals with pools that are the same price, but the water is filled with sea grass even in the most shallow spots. We are Platinum, but I doubt that matters at all here in terms of any room upgrades.
Hopefully I’m not confusing bungalows with villas or maybe they are considered the same thing. The bungalows I remember seeing are between the beach and the building with standard rooms. It is close to the pool and I believe each bungalow has stairs you have to go up to access. It is still about a 2-3 minute walk to the beach, and you will pass the pool on your way. The pool is somewhat right outside the the bungalow once you go down the stairs and head in the pool direction. I’d say the pool is a 1 minute walk.
As far as if it’s appropriate, I think that’s a decision you will have to make. If I had a 1 and 4 year old I would stay in a bungalow as I would have my eyes on them at all times. Hope that helps!
