Had a one night stay on Monday. Booked standard Queen room for £67 and upgraded to Queen Premium room with sea view. Room small but compact and modern, very similar to a one we had previously at the Hampton in Blackburn. This was in the new extended part of the hotel. Good size walk in shower with good water pressure. There is free on street parking at the front of the hotel but those spaces all taken on arrival, so it's £17 per night in the hotel car park. Hotel very busy and the car park appeared to be completely full in the late evening. A lot of children in the hotel, so must have been half term holidays in some areas of the UK, although not in Newcastle area until next week. For same reason, breakfast very busy. Although they have added extra rooms, don't think they have extended the dining area. They also serve lunches and dinners in the restaurant and give Honors members a 10% discount on food and drinks. Been about 6 years since we stayed in Blackpool and it was nice to see the illuminations but disappointing to see the town itself rather run down.
