Quoting this again, as I am still puzzled. It only worked for me once, when purchasing SAS flight CPH-PRG this month. I booked on the DL web site with 15.000 miles. Before booking, the Earning Estimator showed me:
Miles: 0, MQD: 150. After booking, the pending status showed
150 MQDs -- and I did receive
150 MQDs about a week after the flight. OK, perfect, I am happy to see how it works.
But when I am trying to book the same SAS flight now on the DL app, again using 15.000 miles + taxes, it gives me
Miles: 0, MQD: 0.
When I try to book an award flight with KL via AMS, for the same 15.000 miles, it shows me
Miles: 0, MQD: 25.
Not that it matters to me right now (as I will not re-qualify for Gold next year anyway), but it is just another thing I wish were more transparent. I am puzzled.
