Should we be concerned? We were originally all under one PNR but were split into 2 PNRs for no apparent reason a few months ago. It's a redemption GUF + 241 booking in F in case it matters. Seat selection was done at the time of booking and still shows correctly in OLCI for all of us (including the person who can't get a BP). Got an e-ticket receipt from both BA and Finnair and everything looks in order there.

I've heard of this happening for SSSS on US-bound flights but not elsewhere.
No, that won't be SSSS, it's just some aspect of BA's IT. It wouldn't surprise me if you wrestle around with the various options (App, Mobile BA. full site, App Manage my Booking, checkin.ba.com) that something there will give a BP even if by email. Note that for anything starting at SIN you have to do a printed boarding pass - security at the gate needs to stamp the boarding pass. Slightly odd in such a technologically advanced city state, but that's the reason. You can get a printed boarding pass in the BA lounge if necessary.
