I must say my excitement to these promotions has diminished over the last couple of years and falling back to LTG from WP a year back from a big shift in travel patterns moving from North America towards Africa so moving away from QF to EK. This has now changed again and back to North America with a minimum of 4 trips per year in J plus domestic and other international travel so easy to re qualify back to WP if i wanted. late last month I completed my first North America trip using QF and at a good price on just over 10K AUD for PER-LAX return so all good. I then seen the promotion pop up which was great timing wise as I need to book PER to YVR for next month which I know short notice for a cheap J fare although for around the dates I have some flexibility QF are coming in at just under 20K which is just crazy compared to JAL code sharing the PER to HGK legs with CX at well under 10K cheaper so no chance for QF enticing me with a status promotion anymore.
