Tier Credits on American Airlines NOW IN EFFECT

Apologies if this was mentioned elsewhere - just noticed that the Tier Benefits page has been updated (no idea when, exactly) and I do not recall seeing news of this imminent change being posted here.

Good news though....even though I see this as further evidence that they are not going to rejoin oneworld, but rather pursue this piecemeal strategy of forging partnerships with only their own hand-picked partners.

EDIT: I understood this to mean that Tier Credits will be possible on all AA tickets, not just on those AA-operated EI-ticketed flights as of now. Of course, I may be wrong here and they may just be referring to the situation as it currently stands, but I don't recall that text that I've highlighted being introduced at the time of that change. So, fingers crossed that there's a more general/generous AA recognition about to happen.

Hopefully at, or before, the start of the next Aer Club membership year!
