I don't think somebody could get drunk enough and be dumb enough, at the same time, to give worse help than I received from GrubHub in an attempt to fix this. What makes it worse is that Citi will not want to charge back the supplier since they delivered the goods. Grub Hub has no incentive to fix the problem aside from getting a bunch of 10 dollar sales. Citi will not want to reimburse the charge with the GrubHub credit because they have no idea who these third party suppliers are that the Grub Hub purchases are coming up under. I see a mass of 10 dollar CFPB complaints coming.
if you are out a single $10 grubhub credit from citi, and citi is pushing back because a single charge you made thru grubhub showed up as a 3rd party not named grubhub, i can't believe citi won't eat $10 to make you happy, and just give you a one time credit to make it go away.

You lost me at doing a chargeback to the supplier (for the entire amount of your purchase? I'm very confused at this part).

grubhub ought to have your past order history and dates and amounts, for you to be able to screenshot give Citi, even if it showed up as something else. I mean it's only ten bucks either way. If it's a LOT of missing $10 credits due to the merchant you're grubhubbing with, you may have to order from some other restaurant to make it stop repeating the coding that way...I have no idea.

grubhub acts weird sometimes. one of my favorite chain takeout places i can order a meal to pick up to trigger the credit, but the grubhub menu choices are a subset of only half the items they have to choose from if you show up as a regular customer inside the restaurant. it just will not let you select about half the actual menu thru the app. So very weird. Lots of back end database kind of stuff that must be easy to get out of sync or something. Very frustrating!
