My WAG is that BofA will drive the timing and packaging of a premium card much more than AS.
Judging by BofA's current credit card portfolio, a hypothetical premium AS card would most likely have very lackluster earning rates and mediocre benefits.
I personally find their no-AF cards appealing because of bonuses for preferred rewards members, but not their premium cards. I don't know if AS could move their business to a different bank, and Barclays isn't known for issuing any interesting cards.
