I had a very close look at FD vs PG and in the end decided to purchase tickets with PG because:

1. BKK seems more pleasant than DMK
2. FD will charge for checked baggage
3. FD will charge for food / drink
4. PG uses the delightful ATR which at least for the one sector is a change from the sameness of the A320.
5. And surprisingly PG with no additional perks is cheaper than FD. (6,750THB)
6. Rudimentary lounge at BKK
7. No LCC atmosphere

(Open Jaw- Sectors BKK to SAI and PNH to BKK) for Aug 2025.

I am very pleased with this.
