I know this has been asked before, but I don't see any recent responses so I am hoping my re-asking is not too annoying. I am traveling in business class on Emirates on a newly refitted 777 (Newark-Athens-Newark, non-stop). I have an Away hard-sided roller bag which is 9x14.5x21.7". The website states that the max depth allowed is 8". I am wondering how rigid they are about this rule (one response on this site said that in one cabin the storage was only 8"high. I was hoping to take that plus a small soft-sided backpack as carryon. Has anyone had any recent experience about whether they measure the roller bags? Many thanks!
